CONCORD -- The Hot Chasers are still looking for win No. 1 for the 2005 season after absorbing their second straight defeat of the year on field No. 2.
The Hot Chasers put up four runs up in this one, which usually isn't enough to win in softball, and it certainly wasn't on this sultry early evening. The opponents scored many, many more runs than four. A team of accountants is pouring over the scoresheets as we speak and a final tally is expected soon.
Unlike last week, the Hot Chasers actually got a hit in the first inning, a single by Chris Wagnon. But the Hot Chasers were blanked in the scoring column until the third, when they put up three runs, and they cut into the deficit further with their final run of the game in the fifth.
There were reports of a couple of curses that were in effect Thursday that made the going even more difficult. These curses will be investigated and a full report will be made in the writethru, which should be upcoming in a mere matter of days.

I want to know when Chris and Mike are getting back together. Both haven't been the same since the heart-wrenching break-up.
