Rockin 'Rakers, Part Deux

How does one celebrate a crucial late-season victory? If you're Muckraker slugger Matt Petersen, you do your best Mick Jaggar. Petersen took the stage and sung the Rolling Stone's 'Satisfaction' with a Kareoke band at Masse's in Walnut Creek. With several of his 'Raker teammates cheering him on, Petersen belted out a not-so-bad rendition. And since the 'Rakers exploded for 24 runs, no one was required to order a 'slump-buster.'
Editor's note: C'mon, is that really Matt in the picture???
'Raker Meet and Greet
The Muckrakers will gather at Artie's Country Lounge for post-game beverages following Thursday's game against Young Guns Reloaded. Game time is 6 p.m. and the 'Rakers are expected to arrive at Arties around 7:15 or so. All fans are encouraged to attend and meet their favorite Muckrakers and share in some libations. Also, any fan who can drink longtime 'Raker supporter Joe DeLoach under the table will receive two complimentary tickets to the 'Rakers' Fall Season Opener.
Short hops
Every game is a playoff game now as the Rakers at 5-5 hope to end the season on a winning note and reach the postseason. ... Temperatures for Thursday's game are expected to be much cooler that last week's triple-digit scorcher.
