What others are saying about the Hot Chasers

From the Unknown Contributor:

Ray Ratto:
"So what now, Mr. Riggs? With this latest disembowelement at the hands of the Kids Who Drink Beer And Like It, our proud local 11 is once again staring up at the wrong side of 0-2, making one wonder, does Anybody Really Know What Time This Team Will Get Better, and Does Anybody Really Care?"

Bruce Jenkins:
"These are not your grandparents' Hot Chasers. Belanger-to-Davey Johnson-to-Boog Powell has been replaced with Randy-throwing-too-high-to-Pimentel, and then getting run over by Wolcott, no matter how loudly he was calling for the ball to boot. What must the proud Warrior, Mike Gale, be thinking? One only wonders what tricks wunderkid Chris Wagnon has up his sleeve to fix this mess. It won't happen, and the only way it will happen is if Barry Bonds retires, now."

Glenn Dickey:
"The look on injured Ben Pimentel's face said it all, without saying a word. There he was, Mark Lefkow. But really, I'm not surprised. As I wrote in spring training, and in 1972, and in 1944, this team will
never win as long as Art Howe is the manager. Just look how he's already screwed up the pitching rotation. The Hot Chasers need to start planning for the future and forget about this year, and I'm convinced if it does happen, it will be with Steve Young at quarterback."

David Steele:
"Racism reared its ugly head in Concord on Thursday night. What was Rick Hurd thinking?"

Gwen Knapp:
"What can you expect on a team with no women?"

Susan Strusser:
"Despite giving up 34 runs and 72 base hits, starter Mike Wolcott had good stuff, much like 2002 Cy Young Award Winner Barry Zito."

Cecil Conley:
"To really understand this game, you'd need to listen to Jim Rome, and J.T. the Brick."
